Blind and Visually Impaired Able to Enjoy Holiday Musical

Harrisburg, PA -- People who are blind or visually impaired will be able to fully enjoy the classic holiday play, "It's a Wonderful Life". In addition to providing wonderful holiday entertainment, the musical will feature descriptive audio services to make the program more accessible to people who are blind or visually impaired. Bob Alexander, a long-time volunteer and familiar voice to Tri-County Association for the Blind(TCAB), will provide descriptive audio during the performance.

Descriptive audio provides descriptive narration of key visual elements, which are inserted within the natural pauses in dialogue to help individuals who are blind or visually impaired to better understand or to picture everything taking place in the musical. A limited number of transmitters will be available for use or attendees can bring their own walkman/portable radio. The equipment to provide descriptive audio is provided by the Telephone Pioneers.

The show will be performed in partnership with the Capitol Dinner Theatre located at 1300 Wayne Street, Harrisburg. This special performance of "It's A Wonderful Life", will be performed Thursday, November 30th beginning at 7:00 p.m. Tickets to attend the holiday musical are $25 each and include the show only.

Proceeds from this holiday musical benefit the services provided by Tri-County Association for the Blind.
