Blind Association to Participate in Charity Bazaar '03

Harrisburg -- The Tri-County Association for the Blind will be participating in Charity Bazaar '03 to be held September 11, 12 & 13 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day at the Colonial Park Mall. The public is invited to visit the Association's booth, which will be located in the Mall during the three-day event. The Association will be selling a variety of craft items as well as, Blue Mountain Candle. These candles are an ongoing fundraising effort of the Harrisburg Area Radio Reading Service, a department of the Tri-County Association for the Blind. The candles, which are available in over 180 fragrances, are 32 oz., double-wicked, double scented candles, in a glass jar with a lid. The candles are being sold for $10 each. A variety of great fall and holiday scents will be on hand for purchase. In addition, various other craft items and baked goods will also be sold.

All proceeds benefit the Tri-County Association for the Blind. The Association, is a private non-profit organization, which serves blind and visually impaired individuals in Dauphin, Cumberland and Perry counties. In addition, the association provides Prevention of Blindness programs, Access Technology, Social Services, the Harrisburg Area Radio Reading Service, a Production Facility and a Carpeting Department.
